When all of a sudden you notice there are many boys at school with bleached hair, you know who the swimmers are, the season is almost over, and funky hair will be the next week! Since I am two years older than Sean I knew before he became a swimmer what a boy swimmers hair goes through. This year, Sean decided to participate! It turned out really awesome!

...gets boring after a while so it has pushed me to finally update this thing. :)

so in October (HA!) my child development assignment was to bring home a fake baby for the weekend. I've babysat before and it was just like that, except... it woke up during the night, that was the hard part. other than that though the baby deal went OK.

so here she is with scooby, her name is Nicole by the way.

Nicole comes with two diapers, one bottle, and two bracelets. i wear one bracelet all weekend that is the "mom key" and then there is the "babysitter key" one would use the key when Nicole cries you simply hold it to her back or chest, and you hear a chime, then you have two minutes to figure out if she is hungry, needs a diaper change, or needs to be "cuddled." to feed her you just hold the bottle to her mouth and she makes a sucking noise as a real baby would do. to change her, well first off, she is wearing either the green or yellow diaper (no significance in the colors, just so you can tell the two apart. if her diaper is "dirty" you just switch diapers and her butt sensor senses that there is a new sensor next to it. to cuddle her you just rock and bounce her. you know she is satisfied, or done feeding when she makes a cooing sound.

now, not every baby comes with this handy little device (we just got Nicole the day before i was to bring home a baby and the teacher did not know her diaper bag had this in there. it is a breast feeding sensor!!! so you could fake feed your fake baby!!! hahahahaha, i however, did not use it like that instead of having to hold the bottle for 30 minutes i would clip this to Nicole's hood and just continue doing what i was doing :) that came in handy.

aidyn, it seems like yesterday we were going to disney world and you had just been born.

then we came down in the summer and got to take pictures with you!

and last, something I won't ever forget, is when you were learning how to walk. I helped you up, and then you took your first steps! and your mom said, "AIDYN MAE!!" and that scarred you a bit so you fell down.

now you are already in kindergaten and riding the school bus!
i love you and enjoy being able to watch you grow up!

sean and troy made a little perch for me so i can lay by the window.
last week was homecoming and the bruins won!
sean had a group of friends over on saturday (including three girls) (oo la la) and the went to "acres of terror"
and the church bazzar was today so i got stuck at home with troy.

now the clock reads 9:30 and i gotta get to bed. i have a long day of napping tomorrow!

HAHA!! this picture is dedicated to Grandma Sharon.
this little bird was sitting in front of our downstairs window then we went to move it because my dad was going to be washing the windows. but the bird flew away. then maybe five minutes later he was back exactly where he was before. then maybe two minutes later we looked again. and HE HAD DIED!!

this plant is awesome! my dad has had to cut it three times just this summer.
however, the large branch has only been cut once. Sean and I last weekend put a support on it so it could keep growing upward and not snap off. we will keep you updated on the growth.

I went to the park with my friend Chelsey. we had a lot of fun climbing around (and on top of) the playground

WARNING: mothers. never get one of those things that you melt wax in. mischievous kids will play with the wax once cooled a bit. Sean, made his own candle! he formed wax all around on of his fingers, then got a birthday candle and put that in the center, flattened the bottom, and filled the rest of space with more wax! and walla!! we did our homework by candle light. :)

School Day For Sean

Well school has started and some is good and some is bad. I've made some new friends and visited with some that I haven't seen for a while. Here are my classes and a brief description.

1. Early morning choir- every third morning
2. German- Learn to speak German
3. English- the clas were u hav too spel
4. Gym/Choir- Switch every day
5. Lunch- I've never gotten an F in this class
6. Earth Science- Could not fail if you tried
7. FACS- Cooking, Sewing, learning about family
8. American History- ZZZzzz
9. Algebra 1- teacher = knob

I have friends in every class so I will always have someone to talk to so i will live a least until mid January when our classes change.

school starts on thursday. it is hard to believe it seems like we just got out a month ago! oh well only have to go for a thursday and friday then get that monday off. not too bad. and sean and i both miss all our friends.

~he thinks that he will update it regularly-ha! we don't even do that and we have more extra time.
~he says that he made a blog because his kids didn't think that he could/would do it.

we recently moved our family room around. tonight mom and dad are going to paint it.
sean and i decided to have a little fun with the new arrangements...

we went to minnieapolis for the fourth. mom won the bandana scooby is wearing :)

i convinced mother to climb into the hot, humid, kid filled tube. so i could take a picture!
sean and i climbed into something similar. but there was fresh air. ahahah

at the zoo i got an awesome frog tattoo! after sean saw how cool mine was he got one himself.
it was on his arm and when he flexed the tail twitched. so it got the name. "twitchy beaver"

HAHAHA!! sean looks so "silly" so does dad :D

we went to taste of minnesota. and yep sean and i went on all of the kid rides. i am sure that when we are both in college we will still go on the fun rides! i'm not sure what we went to but it was an old factory that smells like flour. anyways. it was a lot of fun. one of the rooms was a water room, i'm sure you can guess what kind of fun sean and i had in there!

i know that you know that this is only the tip of the iceberg of what summer fun our family has been up to. but ya know what? kaitlyn is the only person who knows how to post something without asking anyone for help. and kaitlyn had school for the first six weeks of summer. so i think you should all understand why this teenager hasn't done anything on the blog. :)
i promise though to try to post something every-other week now. because i no longer have school.

We've been doing a bad job at keeping up. This is what you've missed-

We went to Minn-St. Paul with Irene, Shelsea, and Teddy. Irene is our mom's sister. Shelsea is 16 and Teddy is 13.

Mom and Dad finished painting, while Kaitlyn went to her best friend, Chelsey's, lake. And Sean went to his good friend Zach's house.

Scooby has gotten lots of loving, a haircut, and most recently an ear-infection! Poor 'Cooby!

Last weekend we went to 1 of our aunt's lake, the lake is actaully considered "international water" because the land on the other side of the lake is Canada! It was a long drive up there, really hot too, but we still had loads of fun!

One more thing. . . Kaitlyn is going to be testing for her driver's license on August 16th! She is really excited! That is all the important stuff that has happened around here.

Last weekend we went back to Tappen and then Napoleon. In Tappen we got to play with our cousins-Justin, Kimberly, and McKayla. Sean and Justin took 1 of the four-wheelers and Kim, McKayla, and I took the other one. I happened to get some quick pictures when we were down at "The Lodge". When we were in Napoleon we got to go swimming, and did fireworks that night on the farm. When I was reading the instructions on one of the fireworks we noticed a type-o....Do you see what is wrong with it? the spelled read wrong! hahaha Here is a picture of my Grandpa Leo and Grandma Rose.Here are the little baby kittens that live in the loft of the barn. aww... so cute!Here is our cousin Teresa and I with 1 of her dogs BingoAnd these are some calves, they're getting big.

Twister

Today with the kids we babysit we played twister, it was a lot of fun. Sean and Zack did it the first couple of times while I helped Abbey call off where your hand/foot went. She was very good at it, she would yell very loud "RIGHT FOOT GREEN!" as if the boys were playing downstairs but in reality they were only 2 feet away.

Today I was looking through the JCPenny's catalog during breakfast. And I found this SO cute bedding set. And I had told my dad earlier this summer that I wanted a down comforter for my room, and he had said well put it on your christmas list it could be an option. So hopefully this could be an option because I am absoulutly in love with everything about it! Except the only thing is that, it's not a "bed in a bag" so it costs a little more because you have to buy the sheets and accent pillows seperate. But hopefully maybe it will all work out because I can't stop looking at it! I even have the corner folded over. This is a picture out of the catalog. (for anyone who gets the catalog it's on page 801.)
You can buy a quilt left that had circles on it and is reversible, or you can buy a comforter is also reversible but has a lighter shade, along with a darker shade of blue and vise-versa for the orange. I don't know what one I like better, because I like the accent pillows equally and I like both sets of shams equally. I also love the lamps that are in the picture and the storage platform the beds are sitting on. I was able to find the lamps in catalog. In the writing above the bed on the right it says "storage bed sold online at jcp.com", but I couldn't find it anywere! Oh well I know that I wouldn't be getting a new bed frame/headboard because I just got one two years ago, and plus the one I have now would look fine with these. I also love the little rugs.

On Tuesday I went swimming with one of my best friends.The pool we went to was her Grandma's (hint, hint, grandma sharon). We had alot of fun we went there about 11:30 and didn't come back until 7:00. We swam, rode a four-wheeler, and played in the sand box.

On monday night we went to Kim's softball game. Kim was the pitcher for awhile and then after that she was somthing over by first base, I'm not quite sure. Grandma Sharon and Grandpa Jerry were even there! After the game we all went to McDonalds. Ty's clan had supper. I think G'ma, G'pa, Shirley, and Troy just had ice cream. But Sean and I had a cheeseburger and ice cream.

Bath Time!

While on our trip we had Scooby in a kennel. As the people who have dogs know, when the dogs get back, they are stinky and dirty! Along with a horse throat. We finally could not bear Scooby's stench any longer and gave him a bath. The weird thing is though is that, he hates his bathes, he knows when we take his collar off that it is bath time and he will go hide from us hoping that we will just forget he needs a bath. Before...Scooby trying to escape...He rolls around on the ground after the bath for about 5 minutes(just doing this!)...My dad says he's trying to get the water out of his ears...What a clean little crazy dog!

Vacation!

Right after school let out we deciced we were going to go "camping" if you consider being in a air condition/heater camper actual camping. We went to Mt. Rushmore, Keystone, Rapid City for the day, Hill City for another day, and we went hiking around our campsite. Although it rained the entire time we were there, we still managed to have a lot of fun! On wed. morning we left around 7:00a.m., . . .11 hours later we had arrived! Some pictures on the way there. The driver (Dad)...

The first night we went up to Mt. Rushmore to eat, then came back "home" and roasted marshmellos. The second day we went to Mt. Rushmore againg but this time we walked the paths, after we were done with that we went on some other "wilderness" hiking trails near Mt. Rushmore.
On the other hiking trails (awww so cute!)... These I saw as we were walking back to the pick-up. Have you ever seen yellow & orange mushrooms? On Friday we went to Hill City, after we came back from Hill City Sean and I convinced my mom and my dad that we should hike up the very steep hill together. Hiking was really fun, but it took us awhile to get back down the very steep hill.About 1/2 way up (the little gravel road in the backround was by our camper...

On Saturday we took an old time photo in Keystone (that's were our campsite is located) it turned out really well. Sean and I went done some Alpine Slides also located in Keystone. We then started driving home after that. On the way out we took a tour of Rushmore Cave. We stayed to night in Chamberlain. The next morning we drove the rest of the way home and unloaded the camper. All in all we had a great time! In the cave...The last night we were in South Dakota...

Minneapolis

Minneapolis was a blast! There was about 120 kids from my school that went. We all had to meet at the school by 4:30. We were then going to: leave at 5:00 sharp!, drive 3 hours (1 rest stop), go to the Science Museum, Como Zoo+eat lunch, and end our day with Fort Snelling+Subway on the way home. Here are just some pictures from it all, however I didn't take the camera into Ft. Snelling because I forgot to....

Here are my friends Kelsey and Faith pretending to sleep on the bus. As you can see it is still very dark outside. I couldn't take to many pictures because people were getting mad since the flash was so bright!After the sun rose I took a picture of the friends around me. Most were sitting in the back so I don't have any pictures of them!This is a Picture from about halfway from the front of the bus. Did I mention we were on one of those big Grey Hound buses?

This was cool I thought Because in the cage they were in on the wall they had marked every foot so you could see how tall the giraffs were, this one was 15 ft. tall!

I'm so sorry to everyone who has had to put up with me not posting anything since April 12! The reason for this is because I got grounded. From ALL electronics, I only realized that I hadn't posted anything halfway through my punishment (2 weeks).
When I got off my sentence I had once again forgot about it. Then came the night before my school's field trip to Minneapolis. (I'll talk about that later) I was suppose to be in bed by 8:30 that night since I would be leaving the school at 5:00AM. And anyone who knows me knows what happened next, ... I wasn't on time ... so my dad gave me 2 options: I could not go on the trip or I could be grounded for 4 weeks= no friends, no TV, computer, (NO FUN!) You may think this was a very harsh sentencing but I knew I did deserve it because over the last few days I had been getting very lazy on my "on time skills" and my mom and dad had every right to give up with putting up with it. In the end I choose to be grounded for 4 weeks. The night after I got back from the trip my dad said, "So do you think that 4 weeks is too harsh?" Me: "YES!" Dad: "OK yea it might be so do you think that 2 weeks is better?" Me:(again) "YES!" Dad: "Okay then that's what it will be 2 weeks of no friends, no TV, and no computer. Later I figured out that the day school gets out will be the last day of punishment.

Scuba Diving

On wednesday Kaitlyn went scuba diving though school. They left school at 9:45 and didn't return until 2:30. But they weren't swimming the whole time, they split the group up into three sections. Kaitlyn was in the set of people that got to go first. First they learned how to breath, get water out of their masks, and check the equitment. Then they got to swim a little in the shallow end. (they went to South High's indoor pool) After everyone had learned that, the second time they learned how to pop their ears under water as they went down and also how to switch regulaters(the thing that gives you air). Then they got to go swim around in the deepend for awhile. The third and final dive they just got in the pool, put their gear on, and got to go scuba diving. Kaitlyn had alot of fun! The only thing is though she forgot to take a camera, so she is going to ask her teacher for copies. While she didn't get any pictures she got 1 bruise from the locker room door, as she was walking out she slipped and hit the inside of her arm on the big metal handle. OUCH! When the kids weren't in the water they had brought a lot of food to share so the group that Kaitlyn was hanging out with had a huge blanket that they all sat on and put all their food on it. The gooodies included peeps, cookies, fruit, subway, lunchables, fruitsnacks, cheese-its, gatorade, pretzels, and someone brought milk. They all had a really fun time just chilaxing with friends and eating.

First Timers

Hey Everyone! This is our first post and I'm warning you that it is going to be lame. Sean and I decided that we wanted to copy our 4 year old and 2 year old cousin and get a blog just like them! Hopefully we can keep up with the competition, since little kids are very cute. Maybe we could get someone to work for us like they have their mom working for them. We could get my mom to quit her job then she could home school us and take more pictures of us. I don't think any of us would really like the home schooling part. And since the school year is almost over that means that summer vacation will be soon so we will always or at least try to have a camera with us so you can keep up with what we are doing. You should also expect to see a good amount of Scooby pictures just of the cute things he does. Like yesterday Sean and I were outside playing a game of pig, so we took Scooby outside with us because he loves being outside. We are out there and we aren't paying attention to Scooby because we thought that he was probably just chilling in the warm sunlight, but we look over at him and here is this dog who loves summer but instead he is sitting on the patch of snow left that has yet to melt. We got a picture of it so you will be able to see it soon but I need my dad to load all the other pictures from our old computer on first before I load this one on. So I guess you will just have to wait for that. (the suspense is going to kill you I know it!)
